Inset painted burl wood – Apparently the cabinets had real burl-wood veneer specked-out, but it was finished without it. Time was of the essence. The general contractor asked if we could paint the burl-wood over the existing mahogany instead. What you see is the result of that inquiry.

The cabinets in this built in hutch were in good condition but the color and oak wood grain dated the cabinet. To compliment the interior design and add richness to the dining room the cabinets were refinished to a cherry/mahogany custom finish.
The darker cabinets in the kitchen did not brighter up this 1980’s kitchen. Instead, the client opted for a warm base and color wash to hide the pattern of the wood grain. A darker, metallic color was used at the very top of the cabinet to give it a more contemporary look.
Refinishing the kitchen cabinets was cost effective and more expeditious alternative to a complete kitchen remodel.
